WEST YORKSHIRE POLICE are reviewing the investigation into the Murder of ELSIE FROST a 13 year old school girl.
The murder occurred under a railway arch near to HORBURY lagoon Wakefield on the afternoon of Saturday 9th October 1965.
This crime has remained undetected for some 50 years, however there are now some interesting developments. It is believed that the investigation was initially conducted by WAKEFIELD and LEEDS CITY Police forces and the WEST RIDING police, together with officers drafted in from the METROPOLITAN POLICE.
Officers from the West Yorkshire Police major investigation review team would like to speak with any retired officers who may have worked on, or were involved in the murder enquiry during 1965 and 1966.
