HUDDERSFIELD PUZZLER
Reproduced here are two photographs.
The two pictures concern something I probably haven't thought about for at least 45 years!
Yesterday I received a photo of a piece of sculpture of what was clearly an astronaut amongst the sculptures on a Cathedral in Spain. Carved around AD 1140.
This prompted in me a thought of something I had been shown in Huddersfield whilst being shown the beats in the Town Centre in 1963.
The story goes like this –
Legend has it that a Sculptor fell out with the Builder over payment for his work. As he was not getting paid what he thought he was due he expressed himself publicly and permanently. Where is it ?.
Picture 1 shows a bird in the middle and a squirrel to the right and depicts the quality of the rest of his work
Picture 2 depicts him pointing to his fundamental orifice and you will then want to mouth the word that describes what he thought of the builder
I’m sure someone will have the story.
