WAKEFIELD (102) Wakefield and District Branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers serves the former officers and their families the former Wakefield City Police and of the Wakefield Division and Force Headquarters of West Yorkshire Police, formerly West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police, West Yorkshire Constabulary and West Riding Constabulary. Our membership is also open to and does include former officers from a number of other Forces throughout the British Isles who now live in or have connections in the Wakefield area. In addition to our commitment to the welfare issues of our members and their immediate families, we also meet socially four times a year, twice for luncheons and twice for evening social events. There is also a thriving Ladies Section open to retired officers, the wives of retired officers and widows of retired officers. Associate membership is also available to friends. The Ladies meet monthly for coffee mornings and a regular programme of social events and excursions is maintained.
